There are some other good platformers on PSN, but they're a bit darker like Limbo and Braid.Ĭlick to expand. Since you like LBP, a platforming game, you might want to check out Rayman Origins and maybe Trine 1, Outland, and Alice: Madness Returns.

I didn't find it too bad but it's an unforgiving game even with the autoaim. Jak 2 in particular, a lot of people find difficult. Be careful of the Jak trilogy even though it has autoaim. There are some parts of the game that can be frustrating to someone who's not good at shooters. If you don't like shooters because you have difficulty aiming and don't think you're good at them, I'd suggest Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time (autotargeting guns), RDR (which has an autoaim mode), The Darkness II (melee can be combined with shooting thanks to quad-wielding - you have two hands and two tentacles and it also has generous checkpoints, even multiple mid-boss fight), and Deus Ex (can be completely stealthed with no need to shoot guns.) Don't play inFamous 1 - at least not for trophies - if you have trouble aiming. I think you really have to like guns and shooting them to enjoy this game.
3RD PERSON SHOOTER GAMES PS3 SERIES
I'd caution you though with Borderlands - although it's also a hybrid, the RPG elements are pretty light to the point that it's just a series of fetchquests, no dialogue options, and the characters aren't all that interesting.

You might actually find you enjoy these FPS games because of the heavy RPG influences and unique settings. If what you don't like about FPS is the generic military stuff, maybe you should try Bioshock 1 & 2 and Fallout 3 & NV. If you want non-shooter action-adventure games - as in not first or third person shooting for the most part - look at AC2/ACB, Batman, Sleeping Dogs, and Dead Island for starters.
